LAC seeks to be a window of opportunity for students and their families aiming to transform the lives of young people by showing them that they are loved by God and providing them authentic hope for their future. Yet not all students can afford the transforming opportunity that this school provides. Our local community includes a significant population of Roma/Gypsies and kids living in poverty.

Your gift will specifically support scholarships for students that cannot afford the regular tuition.

Every year, we accept one or two new students from this population for a very nominal tuition fee. Two years ago we celebrated along with our first alumni from this population as they graduated from a Christian University in Lithuania. A Christian education in a safe and loving environment transformed these kids from beggars to providers. And it is not only the school staff that see this transformation, it is the entire community and we praise God for this.

On November 26 Northwestern Albania was struck by a strong 6.4-magnitude earthquake. A total of 52 people were killed in the earthquake, with about 3,000 injured. It was the strongest earthquake to hit Albania in more than 40 years, its deadliest earthquake in 99 years and the world’s deadliest earthquake in 2019. The school was quite shaken and has been closed until January 6 for structural inspection and repairs. While this was certainly a scary and disruptive event we are thankful to God that there were no injuries to any staff or students and classes can resume on January 6. As you may imagine, there are some significant repair costs and if you would wish to support the school as earthquake relief please indicate that as you complete your gift.
